The production of lignite mainly adopts vertical furnace or rotary kiln dry distillation technology. Coal is pyrolyzed in an oxygen-deficient environment, and the volatile matter (such as tar and coal gas) is separated. The remaining solid is lignite.

Modern lignite enterprises mostly use closed clean production technology, such as the “graded pyrolysis-coal gas recycling” process in Shenmu, Shaanxi, which makes the fixed carbon content of lignite reach more than 80% and the sulfur content is less than 0.3%, which is much better than ordinary loose coal and meets environmental protection requirements.

Products Usage:

1.Metallurgical industry: Semi-coke can be used as a blast furnace injection fuel or a reducing agent for ferroalloy smelting, reducing the coke ratio and carbon emissions.

2.Chemical industry: As a carbon source for calcium carbide and ferrosilicon production, the high reactivity of semi-coke can improve production efficiency.

3.Clean energy: In winter heating in the north, semi-coke has become a substitute for loose coal due to its low sulfur and low smoke characteristics, helping the “coal to clean” policy.

4. Adsorption material: Activated semi-coke can be used for sewage treatment and air purification, exerting its porous adsorption characteristics.
